Overview of the OnePlus 9 Series
Design
As an older OnePlus device, the OnePlus 9 series also have a similar burdenless design. Except for the new camera setup and back panel, the device looks similar to the OnePlus 8 series. The OnePlus 9 has a flat display while the OnePlus 9 Pro has a curve display. The OnePlus 9 comes with a fiberglass–reinforced frame and the OnePlus 9 Pro comes with an aluminum frame. The OnePlus 9 series have a rectangular camera setup at the top left corner and the back panel. This series phone comes with a USB Type-C port at the bottom. OnePlus has provided Gorilla Glass 5 on the back and front for durability.
Display
Coming to display, the OnePlus 9 has a 6.55-inch flat AMOLED display with a 2400x1080 pixel resolution. In the top left corner, it has a single hole-punch cut-out for the selfie camera. The OnePlus 9 Pro has a big display of 6.7 inches with a 3212x1440 pixel resolution. This device has a similar bezel compared to the OnePlus 9. The OnePlus 9R comes with a resolution of 2400x1080 pixels.
Performance
The OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 SoC. On both devices, SoC. is combined with 8/12 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of storage. These devices don’t have a micro SD card slot for expansion. The OnePlus 9R is powered by Qualcomm’s new snapdragon 870 chip. This device also comes with 8/12 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of storage. The OnePlus 9 series runs OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11. These devices come with a new Pro Gaming Mode. These devices have a turbo Boost 3-0 memory optimization feature.
Camera
The OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro have impressive new camera hardware, a new natural color calibration profile, a flagship-level ultra-wide camera, and many features. The OnePlus 9 has a single front-facing camera and a triple-camera setup on the back. It has a main camera of 48MP Sony IMX689 sensor, a primary camera of 50MP Son IMX766wide-angle, and a 2MP monochrome camera. The phone has a front camera with a 16MP Sony IM471 sensor.
The OnePlus 9 Pro also has a triple camera setup at back with a 48MP main camera, 50MP primary camera, and 2MP monochrome camera sensor. The OnePlus 9R has a quad-camera setup. It has a primary camera of 48MP, a wide-angle camera of 16MP, a 5MP macro camera, and, a 2MP monochrome camera. It has a 16MP front-facing camera.
