Both iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro Max have a strong build with ceramic shield front, and glass back. iPhone 13 has the same old aluminum design but, Apple has introduced their stainless steel frame back in the Max pro version of iPhone 13. 

Both phones are rated IP68 which means the phone has resistance of maximum depth of 6 meters for up-to 30 minutes. But judging by the looks, the size has clear difference with iPhone 13 being 146.7*71.5*7.65 mm in size and 174g, and iPhone 13 Pro Max has 160.8*78.1*7.65 mm size with 240g.

Both are available in 5 colors: Starlight, Midnight, Blue, Pink, Green color. iPhone 13 is also available in another color, Red.

Display 

The display has a clear size difference between iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro Max. Iphone 13 is 6.1” whereas the iPhone 13 Pro Max has 6.7”. Iphone 13 pro max has a 120 Hz refresh rate yet Apple has not mentioned the refresh rate of iPhone 13. IPhone 13 has resolution of 2532‑by‑1170-pixel resolution at 460 ppi whereas iPhone 13 Pro max comes with 2778‑by‑1284-pixel resolution at 458 ppi.
