Honor launched the Honor Play 8T on 2023, October 17. While it seems like replica of the Honor Play 50 Plus, there are some small upgrades. Performance

The Play 8T has the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 as its chipset. It is a 6nm processor with two ARM Cortex-A76 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores. This offers a slight performance edge over the Dimensity 6020 found in the Play 50 Plus. RAM options include 8GB or 12GB, with 8GB of additional expandable virtual RAM available. Software-wise, the phone runs Magic OS 7.2 based on Android 13.

Design and Display

The design follows the Play 50 Plus with a flat display and a center-aligned punch-hole cutout. The back features the same reflective wavy design in three color options: Streaming Silver, Mo Yuqing (Green), and Magic Night Black. Size of the display is a 6.8-inch. It is IPS LCD panel with FHD+ resolution with peak brightness of 850 nits.

Camera

The camera system is identical to the Play 50 Plus. At rear, it has a dual-camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. At front, it has selfie camera of 8MP.

Battery and Connectivity

The Play 8T is powered by 6000mAh battery that supports 35W fast charging, ensuring you can stay powered throughout the day. It has connectivity options of dual SIM support with 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Honor Play 8T Price and Availability in Nepal

The Honor Play 8T is only available in China as of now. In China it has starting price of CNY 1,099 for the 8GB RAM variant. Although the device is not yet available in Neal, based on the Play 50 price in Nepal, we can expect the Play 8T to be priced around NPR 24,000 for the 8GB + 256GB variant and NPR 28,500 for the 12GB + 256GB option in Nepal.
